Review on Fluke KIT Automotive Multimeter Combo by Tylin Meyer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Advantage, best bang for your buck

Fluke's service was incredible. I've had intermittent resistance readings with silicone test leads and emailed them a new pair with no questions asked and free of charge. This is where branding comes into play. I've always loved Fluke for its accuracy and ease of use, it's a great kit for mechanics. In view of the add-on parts, this is quite typical for cars. I've found it very useful even in the short time I've owned it as a mechanic. This is my second counter and I only have 2 minor complaints. First, it has a lot more features than my old Fluke 77, which is why I switched to it. However, I feel that it's not as ergonomic or comfortable to grip and use as my 77, it's a bit larger and more angular. This is a really trivial complaint, just wanted to point it out. The second complaint, which is also fairly trivial, my old 77 when measuring resistance will be 0 ohms when the test leads are touched together, and using the exact same test leads with this meter it only gets 0.2 ohms. Now there's nothing to despise, it just pisses me off because I like to be as specific as possible. In any case, as far as the price for what is on offer is concerned, they are unbeatable and incomparable.
