Beware of the description, it's not true.

As with Flukes, the Revains description says the Fluke 88V is made in the USA, when in fact it's only assembled in the USA. I called Fluke to confirm this after seeing the stamp on the gauge actually received. Yes, it's only assembled in the US and they couldn't or wouldn't tell me where the parts they use are made. It looks and feels like a quality knife and only time will tell. They still have a limited lifetime warranty which is only valid while they are still working. crossed fingers

Good Meter on Tools & Equipment

You can't go wrong with a gauge. I bought this to replace my aging and overused Mac multimeter. I was very satisfied with the range of functions, the accuracy and the accessories of this measurement kit. Two things I don't like: Made in China (I'd happily pay an extra $50 for US made) and the meter doesn't fit well in the case with the cables plugged into it. Who on earth wants to disconnect the cables every time they remove the meter? These are small but important details in my opinion. All in

Made in the USA and still the best DMM ever!

I bought this to replace a Fluke 88 I bought over 25 years ago. I was hesitant to purchase because some reviews and online sources said it was no longer made in the US. You were wrong. It is definitely still a USA made counter and definitely the best value counter on the market. I assume that this meter will last the next 25 years of operation! I use this gauge every day for my business so it was hard for me to be without my old gauge when it died. Revain Prime had the best price on this kit…

Great combination kit

The Fluke 88 is a great multimeter and probably the best multimeter for the money. I am very familiar with the Fluke 77 and 8600. The 88 combines the best of both and is a good choice for most electrical work. It is suitable for experienced technicians and everyday DIY enthusiasts. The cables in the kit cover most of what an electrician could need. I added large alligator clips so I could clamp the car battery terminals. There are a few gauges that offer more features like higher accuracy or a…

Very solid, very accurate.

Just what you would expect from Fluke. Very high quality counter and accessories. Not sure if the molded plastic case will last, but so far so good. I use mine for automotive diagnostics as well as building/repairing musical instrument amplifiers and checking home wiring and circuitry. After purchasing a Fluke, I noticed a significant difference in DC voltage readings between the Fluke and my other meter. So I bought a voltage reference so I know what is correct. Fluke measured the reference…

Advantage, best bang for your buck

Fluke's service was incredible. I've had intermittent resistance readings with silicone test leads and emailed them a new pair with no questions asked and free of charge. This is where branding comes into play. I've always loved Fluke for its accuracy and ease of use, it's a great kit for mechanics. In view of the add-on parts, this is quite typical for cars. I've found it very useful even in the short time I've owned it as a mechanic. This is my second counter and I only have 2 minor…
