It works the same as Westcott.
I was a bit skeptical because of the price and saw it in its best condition. I have to say it's very good, especially for this price. The kickstand leaves a lot to be desired, but works if you don't already have one. Assembly is no more difficult than my Westcott light that I use in my digital studio. It's nice that there are different types of diffusers for those who want it. The firmware is average for an imported modifier. Like all Chinese light modifiers I would be careful with removing the velcro.
