The problem with these little metal hooks is VERY easy to break. This has happened to me after 2 uses. First of all, I follow their advice on how to use them and don't overexert them. Proof of this is that I still have many of the original clamps that came with my now ancient Ace bandages. Many are over 20 years old and some are even 40 years old, inherited from their grandmother! Of course I would use all clips the same (new and old) and the fact that many old clips still have their little hooks means that the quality of the metal varies greatly. I don't know if anyone makes a better quality yet, so I can't recommend any other brand yet. It could be the sort of 2021 production versus 1980 or 2001, and at a $6-for-30 price point, that might be acceptable too. I'll look into it, but I think more than just two uses is still a reasonable expectation.
