I was a little shocked after reading the reviews after buying it for my home. I originally went to Target and got a competitor's branded TP and was having trouble connecting to my HomeKit. It worked great. Simple steps - Make sure the WiFi you choose is 2.4 (not 5) - Download the app, create an account - Plug in the smart plug. Make sure it blinks. - Follow the instructions in the app. - Scan the QR code - it should be on the plug itself. - Give the plug a name (it's good to give a simple name as you need to use it when Siri turns "kitchen" on/off, light) - Done! It took me a few times to figure out how to schedule. There are different ways and scripts you can use and I think I got it. I've had it for a week now and so far the schedule is working. What I wanted was random on/off to make it appear like I'm home when I'm not home. but I can always turn it on remotely or create some sort of random schedule. Basically I am satisfied with the product. I'm not giving it 5 stars as I think there could be something better, but coming into a house with the lights on rather than a dark house certainly makes you feel more welcome.
