Review on Nokian Tires Hakkapeliitta 9 185/65 R15 92T winter by Anna Dellner ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I like everything, the quality is good and the price is reasonable.

It was run on asphalt, therefore its behavior when running in is not very predictable. The braking distance on the pavement was too great until the spikes "sat down" in position. The behavior improved as a result of the break-in. Compared to the "aircraft" hkpl 8 "land and sky," there is not much noise made when moving. However, there are instances when directional stability is stronger, but over time, performance deteriorates and worsens dramatically. Also improved is cornering speed. Hkpl 8 provides better braking. Deep snow riding is equal. simply good for 1-2 years of operation in the gentle mode, after that it will simply make you happy. Due to its unreasonable high cost and scarcity of resources, it is not at all appropriate for fast driving. This is your decision if you are wealthy and able to change a car's tires once a year. I do not advise purchasing this model. In theory, Nokian is going in the right direction, but to make the investment worthwhile, the tire life must be extended. I've been using Nokian tires for more than a year, and I'm hoping that the company would reconsider its objectives in the future and continue to provide customers with high-quality goods at reasonable costs. Otherwise, given the vast selection, rivals may have the final say. (Continental, Michelin, Bridgestone, etc.) You see, 2022 manufacturers will catch up because Chinese producers are "stepping on their heels"). Wishing everyone luck with their decision!

Pros
  • Hello. I'll compare it to the prior HKPL 8, maybe it will help someone. excellent control although being young on the rink. as compared to hkpl 8, rather quiet.
Cons
  • The spikes almost completely flew out over a three-year period. In three years of operation, 20% of the hkpl 8 studs flew out, making the service life of the much more expensive hkpl 9 tire quite short. Fearful of blows but not completely judgmental. Hernias didn't exist at all in hkpl 8; they only started to show up in the second year! Numerous tires blow out on the driving axle each year.
