This case is very easy to use. There is a small lock on one end that releases the internal circuit board that holds the SSD. Once you detach the inner panel and insert the SSD, simply slide the panel into the enclosure until it clicks into place. At this point, you can connect it to your computer and start using it. The kit comes with an instruction manual, but it's a bit difficult to understand if you don't know what all the parts are made of. No tools are required to install the SSD, and two USB-C cables are included (one with a USB-C end and the other with a USB-A end). During operation, the plate heats up a little, but cools down quickly. I am a fan of these cases because they are very easy to use. There's a small latch holding the SSD to the inner plate that you'll need to loosen with a small pin or knife if you ever want to swap drives. In addition, it was quick and easy to connect to my computer and I had no problems accessing files.
