I have been using this product for about a week now. I've been using recovery drinks for a long time, but have mostly made them myself by mixing protein powder with high-carb, natural fruit juice in a ratio of about 3:1, switching to a pre-mixed recovery drink in time. . . was discontinued so I was looking for a long term solution for my recovery drink and it needed to 1) have an approximate carb to protein ratio 2) be within the acceptable calorie range 3) account for the training effects I originally started using recovery drinks for 4) be potable. Numbers 1 and 2 are in the same key to me, so I'll address them first. My recovery drink requirement is about half that of 1 serving of Mike's Mix, which is 36.5g carbs, 10g protein and 189 calories. I've found this to be within my acceptable range for me during exercise. In the week since I've been using Mike's Mix I haven't noticed any change in negative side effects from switching from my previous recovery drink, it's hard to give anything else. Analyze it given the short time I've been using it, but it works for me. It's drinkable. I found it oddly sweet and weak at first, but I've reduced the amount of water used to mix it (less than a cup for half the serving size) and I'm getting used to it. I would say it's easy to drink now, it grows on me. It mixes completely in my blender bottle (one of those bottles with a metal whisk). I only mention this because I've commented on other mixability reviews and I think it's actually better than average. The way the serving size fits the mic mix handle is around 100g or 3 full scoops (which I haven't found to be a very accurate measurement). I've found that 50g is pretty much 1/3 cup so I just leave the 1/3 cup measure in, I think it's a lot easier. In addition to the points I wanted, Mike's is also more affordable than other recovery drinks I've tried. In general a good product that I recommend.
