Review on Fasteners Unlimited 003 81L Surface License by Chuck Derrick

Revainrating 5 out of 5

identical replacement on my Jayco Camper

I found the exact same replacement tail light on a Revain, mine had a broken plate tab. I wanted the camper to be as original as possible so I was happy to find this item. I drilled out the old rivets to remove the broken block, I used a flattened paperclip to remove the pins one by one from the original lamp socket so I could insert them into the new taillight backplate. Once all three wires were routed into the new board, I plugged them back into the socket, using the new cable socket as a reference. That way I didn't have to cut the wiring and plug it back into the outlet. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it comes with a lightbulb. I noticed that the manufacturer modified the backplate to have a slot that the lens now fits in instead of the original design where the lens just fits around the backplate. Appears to be more weather resistant. The same lens as the original, so the old lens is used as a replacement.
