Review on TrackR Bravo - Bluetooth Tracking Device Cell Phones & Accessories by James Edwards

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good for what I need.

I think this fits well with what I would use it for. I've seen bad reviews about it being inaudible in city traffic. I bought it for two reasons. One of them is tracing the wallet, which is usually lost at home. The volume is more than enough to hear it. I also bought it for my computer bag. I know it sounds silly, but I drive to work every weekday and I keep my computer bag in the back seat of my car. About once a month I get paranoid and when I'm on the freeway I get scared that my bag isn't in the car. You can't see it from behind because of the headrests. So maybe once a month I'll come out of the exit and stop to open the back and check. Still, I come to work about once a year and find I forgot to bring my bag, so I spend 60 minutes going back to my computer. This will help a lot. I also like the idea of being able to swap out the battery myself. Update: About 7 weeks after using rechargeable Li-Ion batteries, one only got a low battery warning, so I charged it in about 2 hours. Also, a panel on this TrackR Pixel that wasn't supposed to come loose has come loose at one end. I just glued it back with cyanoacrylate glue to get it working fine again.

Pros
  • Replacement of the battery, not the device, is free of charge. The app will notify you when the battery is low. Order a replacement directly from the app.
Cons
  • boring packaging
