I recently bought a pair of Boston Acoustics A-26 bookshelf speakers online for $60. I already had a small 100 watt BT x2 amp at home which I used to drive some audio drivers I bought years ago. The amp I had at home was clearly underpowered and when I bought this it was more than obvious: the sound was much louder at lower volumes and also more reliable. From what I could find online the speakers are 150W RMS so I tried to get as close to that number by two as I could without spending a fortune. I'm done with this little guy. I'm not usually quick to post reviews, but so far I'm enjoying it. And as an added bonus, I can connect it to my motherboard via Bluetooth and watch live YouTube videos and movies through the bookshelf speakers from my computer in my bedroom.
