Tried to park my truck in the garage next to my wife's minivan. Unfortunately, the garage is always full. To avoid unnecessary dents and scratches caused by doors opening into walls or a minivan, I purchased an edge trim from AutoZone. Bad idea. Glue ran onto the paint. Passengers will track the glue everywhere. After spending over an hour cleaning up old glue/trimming I decided to buy something that just uses friction. That's when I found this bad boy. It's by far the thickest and sturdiest of anything you can find at your local auto parts store. This edge fits perfectly into every curve of the door. In the last two months I haven't noticed any changes in the finish. I definitely recommend this fairing to anyone with a truck or vehicle that can handle a slightly utilitarian look. Given the thickness and reinforcement in the finish, it offers a somewhat utilitarian/rugged look.
