Ordered 4 points for a twin and 6 points for a queen. Due to the weight of the duvet, it nestles well against the bed and gives the feeling of being comfortably wrapped up. Almost like a sleeping bag. This pleasant feeling contributes to a wonderful sleep. Blankets are breathable, not bulky like blankets, and my small dog sleeps under the blanket with no discomfort. Another reviewer suggested that a 4-point blanket was the best choice for twins, while a 3.5-point blanket was not. I agree. It covers the bed well and offers better coverage and warmth than a shorter duvet. You don't need a skirt for a beautifully finished look. My twin is a low profile set. The 6 points fit my queen well, but a skirt is needed for the finished look. Another reviewer suggested ordering an 8 point queen quilt so it looks like a bedspread. For those with an overly soft or even medium mattress and box spring, this is probably good advice. Not good advice for low profile kits. My dog is Coton de Tulear and these dogs don't shed. Is always. Not a single hair for 3 years. You need care. I'm not sure wool is a good choice for households with declining animals.
