Superb waterproof point and shoot camera

I have only used this camera once underwater but it has been fantastic. I took it to the pool with my daughter and niece as a test run and got some great shots of my niece swimming underwater, alternating underwater and above water. The camera is designed to pull out of the water instantly, so no smudges or water droplets will appear on pictures taken out of the water. It seems like a small thing, but in fact it was of great importance. As far as water resistance goes, it holds up very well. When we got home I noticed chlorine stains on a few photos (after trying to use a dry cleaning cloth). So I soaked it in the sink with clean water for about 5 minutes and voila! Perfect photos again. I've seen some reviews stating that this camera doesn't work well internally, but I haven't noticed the problem myself. Pretty much every shot I took with the camera had great color balance and lighting. I had a few flash overexposures, but hey, this is a point and shoot camera, not a pro camera. Overexposure can be corrected on the camera itself using the suggested image editor or using the editing software on your computer. We'll be taking the camera to the lake in a week to see how it handles the sand and muddy water but so far I'm more than happy with this little camera, especially for the price! I can't wait to pick it up and play with it some more. EDIT: Used this camera on a trip to pools, lakes and rivers. There was an explosion. Capture great shots in the water, over the water, in canoes, kayaks and even in a fountain where kids can play without worrying about water leakage. I recommend buying a floating wrist strap because the camera itself doesn't float if you drop it in deep water. Even lake and river shots are great, although you need to be close to your subject in dirtier/darker water. After a month and a couple of weeks I would say it has already earned its price for the price I paid. I believe, we took about 1600 photos over a 2 week trip with this little camera and 99% of them were amazing. I also bought an extra extended life battery and with constant shooting I had to change the batteries about once a day. But I take a lot of photos. EDIT 2: After reading some of the other reviews on here I think something needs to be said - this is NOT an expensive professional camera. It is not sold as a unit because it is not. No, you won't get perfect shots every time. You won't get perfectly clear underwater photos (although you will get some amazing ones). This is a compact camera that you can take with you into the water. If you expect more than point-and-shoot quality, don't buy this camera. But understand that you will spend more money on something else. For the average user this is a fantastic camera for the price. You can take it anywhere, it fits in your POCKET (how nice is that?) and it will withstand a fall, wet, hypothermia, etc. Take it on family vacations without worrying about it. Try it now with a $3,000 professional camera. Also, for those who say the quality sucks, I enlarged some of the photos from this camera to 16x20 and hung them on the wall. I certainly can't say they were shot on a $140 camera and no one else can. For the average user this is a fantastic camera for the price.
