This is definitely an upgrade from those dollar ones i have always had. Unlike the standard one row wired ones, this has 2 layers with 36 fingers, this one you can place straight on top of your head, and go straight down. You don’t have to move it around your whole head to try and get every area, this one basically covers your whole head (depending on your head size, but i have a big head and it fit mine perfect). This one didn’t hurt my scalp at all, and the top of each "finger” has a black coating to protect your scalp. My hair also didn’t get snagged in it, which is a huge plus for me.This instantly gives me goosebumps in a good way, so be ready. I also noticed after time I get almost de-sensitized by it, where it doesn’t feel amazing as it used to, so I suggest not using it for a week at least, and that seems to help me to get the goosebumps back.The handle is only about 3” long, but I had no problem holding it. It also came with a small bear claw back scratcher, which also feels great, and almost feels like real nails, to me at least. The bear claw scratcher part alone is almost an inch and a half wide and almost 2” tall. The handle closed up is 6.5” long, and fully opened the handle alone is almost 21” long, so i had no problem at all reaching my lower back.Overall, it makes an awesome gift for anyone, it feels great, and I can’t see anyone being upset with receiving this as a gift, and i would 100% recommend for yourself or loved ones.
