Make sure the small black capped cable hangs low enough to pick up signals from the remote, but with your phone this won't be a problem since you're connected to Wi-Fi. I like these lamps, they are worth the money. . I was worried they might be cheap and crappy but I'm very impressed with them, very good quality. Very well built.
