I made the mistake of putting my freshly tie tank top in direct sunlight. I figured it would be ok as it filters most of the day and only sits in direct morning sun for about 1/2 hour. But I got the worst algal bloom. I've tried everything except darkening the tank for 10 days. I didn't want to do that with my fish. I found this product after trying everything. I've been fighting algae for about 2 months. Took nine days to clear and a 4 gallon water change (which is why you see different aquarium decorations). I am so happy with the results. This is a great solution and I have moved my aquarium to a less sunny location.
