I've used these fans in several builds over the past year or so and can't think of a cheaper aRGB fan kit. They cost $46 at the time of writing, and for that you get 6 5V aRGB PWM fans along with a controller hub that controls up to 7 fans and no proprietary header like almost all branded RGB -Fan series used. You can use the included button to toggle presets, or just plug it into your motherboard's 5V header without special adapters (I'm looking at you, Corsair, Deepcool, and Thermaltake). What makes them insanely valuable is how well everything works, especially now that they've switched to SATA powering the hub instead of Molex. The controller lets you control the lighting with either a detachable reset button that connects to the front panel reset button if needed, or you can use the 5V aRGB cable connector to connect to the motherboard to control the software. All the software I've tried so far (Asus, Asrock, Gigabyte) works great with these fans. Physically, the fans aren't sleek, but they're pretty solid, although the plastic legs can break. if you overtighten the long heatsink screws. There are no anti-vibration pads, but I've never had a problem with them vibrating. Plastic is a softer, thicker form of extruded plastic, meaning it's somewhat spongy and has limited flexibility. Not only does this make them less brittle than Cooler Master fans, but it also likely allows them to absorb vibration without the need for rubber pads. The fans themselves are also smaller than most 120mm fans. The outer ring is thick enough and the legs protrude to allow for a 120mm mount, so the fan itself is probably closer to 100mm, but that doesn't seem to have anything to do with performance. As far as I can tell the actual fan blade diameter is the same as the Corsair LL120. All in all, these are great fans. The lighting is bright and well diffused, the actual cooling performance of both the case fan and the heatsink fan (it's a hybrid design after all) is the same if not better than most of the included case or heatsink fans I've used . After installing these fans in the system, the temperature has always improved compared to the standard fans, albeit only marginally. They're also shockingly quiet for those off-brand Chinese fans who are widely regarded as cheap. NO rattle (if you look at Cooler Master) and the actual fan noise at max speed is a low-frequency howl that's easily drowned out by most GPUs or air coolers. At normal working speeds? These fans are almost inaudible. Are these fans perfect? nope They feel a tad cheap, the instructions are incredibly simple while serving the purpose, and the packaging has the lowest common denominator. But a 6-pack with a $46 controller? This level of value was my undoing. I just can't bring myself to buy brand name fans for two, three or even five times the price (I'm looking at you Corsair). I literally have 4 extra boxes that I bought when they went on sale just in case I need them for another build. If they were more expensive, e.g. B. Priced closer to the Deepcool CF120, they would get a 4-star rating. But at this price? I see no reason not to give them 5 stars. Good: - Such a price! - Rugged construction - Great RGB fan/hub, albeit a bit bulky - Doesn't require any proprietary adapters to connect - Very good lighting and color quality - Very quiet - Airflow and static pressure are more than acceptable - Works with almost all motherboard RGB software Bad : - They seem cheap despite their strength - The design allows the legs to snap or snap when using long screws to attach to the heatsink - The installation guide is extremely simple - No manufacturer's website for reference - Vibration pads not included
