Review on Cardone 40 154 Remanufactured Domestic Wiper by Josh Allred

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Wipers now work like new

Replaced a tired original wiper motor in my '68 C10 pickup. It was an exact fit and a moderate headache to install. I pulled out the dash and ashtray to access 3 brackets with a 1/4" ratchet and an extension. I suppose a smaller and more nimble person could squeeze it in there without doing all that. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that they don't give you new rubber grommets and stands to attach to the firewall. No big deal, the old ones didn't go that far so I reused them. Never throw away old parts until you find them. The new one is in and working! Also, there is a large donut rubber washer that goes around the inside of the hole in the shroud where the linkage attaches to the motor. Mine fell apart when I pulled the old motor out, so you might want to make one of these with plumber's putty and we'll see if it keeps the rain out
