Purchased for my cat to use prior to having surgery as she had some tumors on her tummy. These tumors she ended up licking open while waiting to have them surgically removed. Unfortunately surgery was out 30+ days on their schedule so we were desperate to reduce the licking and reduce risk of infection. Vet recommended we get her some cat clothes, baby onesie or cone to wear while waiting for the surgery date. I opted to order this so I wouldn't have to "customize" a baby onesie for the tail and butt area to use litter box. Price was very comparable to baby onesie so I went ahead and ordered these along with another style to see what my cat would tolerate.My cat has not ever worn clothes prior to ordering these and she's 15 years old. She was a little weirded out for the first couple days after putting these on her as she doesn't know what to think. She tolerated these very well and these stopped her from licking and stopped all the hairballs as well!Used these for a month prior to her surgery and about 2 months after with no problems!These washed up well in the laundry on normal cycles in washer and dryer. We had to change her clothes daily. Did not shrink in laundry. Velcro stayed in great shape.Due to the legs, she was not able to sneak any licks to her tummy like she did the no sleeve ones we bought. Did get a few holes in them from her claws when she was occasionally itching/scratching. Holes stayed small and did not run or get any bigger over time.Now she's in the clear and doesn't need to wear them anymore. So glad this gave her an option besides being stuck with a cone around her head! This allowed her normal freedom, normal movement, remained soft for me to cuddle.If your wondering if your cat might be able to sneak out of the clothes. Only every once in awhile. She maybe got these off 3-6 times in the 3 months she wore then. (The other no sleeve style we got she was able to take those off constantly!)If needed again in the future, I will definitely opt for these over others!Size fit great, followed the sizing guidelines.
