I forgot that the wooden peel needs to be brushed with cooking oil from time to time. I noticed it was getting too dry after a year and was afraid it would warp soon. I've looked at dozens of other cooking oils and chose this oil because it has a small volume so I can store it with my condiments. And there were a lot of good reviews with opinions from a lot of people who were a lot smarter than me on the matter. I have worked in the food industry in the past so I am aware of the importance for health and also for the care of wooden kitchenware. After application, there were noticeable changes in the condition and appearance of the pizza peel. It came back relatively new as I use it about every 10 days. Next time I didn't need nearly as much. No stains or greasy feeling. Very happy with this product.
