Bought a curt hitch to carry a bike rack. After everything was set up and looking great, we rode our bikes down the road on a rack only to see them yaw back and forth so much we thought they were going to break somewhere. Seriously, our hitch had a lot of play, and the pendulum nature of the stance took full advantage of these bikes' rocking. A simple solution! We replaced our solid CLASS II bracket with a hollow Curt Class I bracket (45018 - still suitable for Class II hitch mounting) and then installed this anti-rattle kit. Wow! Doesn't matter. As soon as I tightened the bolt, the hitch and shaft became one. No play, no yaw, no problems. Went like clockwork. Yes, if someone has a problem with a loose towbar, get one of these. Would recommend to others.
