Plate does not stay in place

Plate with nut inside does not stay in place. It needs to be larger or slightly larger to attach to the inside of the strut coupler. Slides back and forth. Bought it for a 1 1/4 hitch and bike rack.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Frequency

This is for a 1.25 inch hitch.

2 stars for the description. There are no ratings for the product yet. I wish the product name had the words "just for small troubles". , not in the fine print; that would have saved me from accidentally ordering the wrong one. I'll try to find someone with a more suburban hitch to give it away.

Pros
  • Hands-free working
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

Great idea! for hitch clamps and pins

My biggest complaint about hitch mounts is that there is always too much play in the linkage. Bikes move forward and backward as they move. Bungee cords don't help. But this anti rattle kit solved all my problems. So just tighten the screw and viola, no more sagging! And that's the deal! Buy it!

Pros
  • High support and durability ratings from testers
Cons
  • Poor repairability

For use with clutch class 1.

Had to send it back unopened. It must be used with a hollow ball mount, which means a Class 1 hitch or bike frame. I have a Class II hitch for towing trailers and the ball mount is strong so I need to use a different type of anti-rattle. Otherwise the materials look solid and I could use them.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • So far so good

Works well on 1 1/4 " bike rack

Good product. Eliminated most of the wobble on my hitch mounted bike rack. It's much better than before. An extra few minutes loading the bikes into the car, but now I feel a lot safer and I feel safer going over speed bumps because I don't have to watch my bikes bounce up and down in the rearview mirror.

  • GOLS certified

Efficient, economical solution to pivoting a bike rack

I have an Allen bike rack for two bikes and a Curt hitch. There was some hesitation and hesitation. This kit solved the problem. The one I received matches the photo so it's possible some of the negative reviews were for a previous product. This kit is a little awkward to install as it slides down the stock a bit. I go down with a mechanical velcro and guide the kit in place with a cotter pin and then thread the screw. A little awkward, but it's only a two minute job. Keep screw threads…

Pros

  • Quality

Bought a curt hitch to carry a bike rack. After everything was set up and looking great, we rode our bikes down the road on a rack only to see them yaw back and forth so much we thought they were going to break somewhere. Seriously, our hitch had a lot of play, and the pendulum nature of the stance took full advantage of these bikes' rocking. A simple solution! We replaced our solid CLASS II bracket with a hollow Curt Class I bracket (45018 - still suitable for Class II hitch mounting) and then

Works Great!: Coupler Clamps & Pins

I know this product doesn't get a high rating. I used it on an 1800 mile trip with my small trailer and it did everything I expected it to do. It has eliminated all play between the ball mount and receiver and completely eliminated all bumps and bumps that you normally have to deal with. Please note this is ONLY FOR the 1-1/4" HOLLOW ball joint! Installation is simple. Insert into the ball joint, gently insert into the socket, insert the screw and pull You tighten it by hand, tighten it with a…
