Review on Eluktronics MAX 17 Processor Graphics by Matthew Maggot

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great thin and light workstation

Great laptop but RTX 3070 hits 87C on default settings, 125W plus 5W boost - too much heat for this thin laptop. The GPU goes up to 140W, but I can only go to 115W (lowest settings) without hitting the maximum GPU temperature of 87C. The control center is poorly designed, they can show performance and device info in one window but they don't, and the fan settings are a joke, they're set by the hardware and by default it's always these %'syes, there's bleeding but the screen is great. The performance is too high for the fans to ever stop spinning. Not bad, but they are there and eat up the battery in cafes. No, Thunderbolt is currently the best 17-inch QHD portable workstation if you're happy with USB-C for file transfers. keys and speakers are ok, should be much better for the price (free stuff doesn't make it better) can play games on 4k tv at 60 fps, no hdmi cable (no 2.1 anyway) and most laptop buyers have that type since already glasses and mice, so lower price would be better. Sleep mode is a big NO, and the trackpad has some clicking noise :( wondering if you're willing to pay +$ for a 115w RTX3070, I love Stealth's hard RMAO so much. and really messing with your mind. I can play most high fps games in office mode (throttle and low fans) and the heat stays lower but you won't get 100+ fps so close to perfect it's hertz
