I can't beat the price.

Probably went in a different direction than most who looked at this preamp. Something was needed to control an additional power amplifier lying around at home. Very impressed for $100. Didn't know what to expect? Sounds damn good for what it is. There is no audible hiss in the system, good sound especially on the RCA inputs. would recommend. Control of an Adcom GFA 555 II power amplifier and a Klipsch R 5 pair. I must add that I did not try the bulbs that came with the kit, but put in the appropriate Riverstone GE 5654 bulbs.
