The preamp could not be made to work with either the USB or the Aux input. Input

No sound in my system while this preamp is on. The USB input did not work. Auxiliary input did not work. Skeleton instructions and they don't mention a technical support option. After two hours of troubleshooting and a dozen computer reboots, I returned it to Revain. Looking at the other two reviews here it could sound very good if someone can get it to work. However, I will never know for sure.

I can't beat the price.

Probably went in a different direction than most who looked at this preamp. Something was needed to control an additional power amplifier lying around at home. Very impressed for $100. Didn't know what to expect? Sounds damn good for what it is. There is no audible hiss in the system, good sound especially on the RCA inputs. would recommend. But the sound has improved.

My headphones are ATH-M40x. Great sound until I changed the ear pads. To get the sound quality back I bought this amp. Great help but not exactly what I wanted. I swapped out the standard tubes for a US made set and .WOW! Detailed bass, better clarity, improved soundstage. I also liked the controls in this device. No noise, no hum, no hum. I liked the amp out of the box, I'm VERY happy with the different tubes. It's like hearing all my music like I've never heard it before.

This is amazing technology. I have a basic kit consisting of a laptop, an APO software equalizer, a BBE maximizer, a switch, and two sets of powered speakers (a pair of Beringher studio monitors and Edifier speakers). I used an Aiyima A3 lamp. There's nothing wrong with this block, but this one is way ahead of it. It's a bit bigger but has a USB deck, Bluetooth and a headphone jack. I was very impressed with the Bluetooth range. I live in a house of about 3500 square feet and Bluetooth is connected throughout the house. I couldn't believe it. I originally wanted to bring some "tube magic" to my desktop audio system. My previous setup consisted of a Lynx Hilo DAC connected directly to Yamaha HS5 + HS8S powered speakers and a subwoofer.
