We used to have shower filters and decided to install a whole house water softener/filter. Last September I installed a Hansing no-salt (1" NPT) water softener. Since we used shower head filters, we didn't feel any difference after replacing the water system. About a month ago we noticed the water was coming out weaker and my family caught it started to get annoyed. At first we thought it might be a water pressure issue. I searched this and that and found that the water filter needed to be changed. Somehow I thought the filter life was about a year so I never have thought about changing the filter. Filter. I was misinformed. We've been using the same filter for too long. The day I received the new filter, I changed the filter. I saw that the old filter had changed color and was dirty.After I replaced the filter with the new one, WOW we can definitely tell the difference in the water quality.The water is softer and comes off very well r well out. Now my family is happy with the water system. Changing the filter was easy.
