Adhesive isn't the best option for anti-theft protection, but the slot is well made
Small and unobtrusive, the plate is solid metal and smooth to rigid. I've attached two of them to things that keep getting "taken" out of my office and never coming back. While the tape means "borrowers" can just take it off and leave with my stuff, I hope that serves as a deterrent. The included tape WILL BLOW OFF so it is not a permanent attachment. I would suggest epoxy if you want it to never chip. This will put most people off, but if someone really wants to steal it, it should be fairly easy to remove.
