This product does what it's supposed to do - straightens hair but doesn't make it smooth or smooth. If you want something that will completely straighten your hair, buy a flat iron. I have thick, wavy hair that frizzes in wet weather. I can iron, but I understand that this is often a losing battle. This will eliminate any weird flips or kinks after I blow dry my hair with the paddle brush. I can only leave a small wave and it looks great. Also, I'm left-handed and sometimes hair tools require my training (like the thyme straightener). It was very easy to use, right out of the box.
