My mom and I bought one of these whistles to use in case of danger. I actually used it not long ago. I have seen a man attack a girl (it could be his wife, girlfriend or stranger) no matter how loud I whistled. He stopped to look around and I saw that this gave her time to run away. Highly recommend for gifts or any woman in your life. Great for college students too.
