I've been using it for almost five years. I started with film + digital crop, then on 5D2. More than 90% of commercial shooting was filmed on it (and sometimes all 100%), because there is nothing more universal. For those who shoot fast-moving action, reportage style, or just a little bit of everything, having one lens in a case. for the money, this is the best. On many trips around the world, even on film, I shot the best shots on it, although there are usually different things in the case. During operation, it fell (hard) twice, with subsequent repair (the diaphragm cable failed), lost its red ring, but it works like a clock. In shooting corporate events, wedding shooting, etc. reporting with people, for me it is preferable than its "brothers in purpose" - 24-70 / 2.8L (I and II). Because you canβt shoot much at f / 2.8, a small flu. And + 35mm focal length is a significant argument. Also, for those who always choose between 24-105 and 24-70, I want to dispel some forum stereotype. The presence of a stub that provides 3 shutter speed steps + 35mm FR is opposed to a lighter 24-70. One stop aperture. Yes, if you shoot dynamics, 2.8 rules here. However, from my experience, there were much fewer events with an indispensable need for 2.8 due to the maximum endurance in dynamics than the advantage of the stub in statics gave. Because in one case it is one step (2.8), and in the other - three steps (stub). At night, a stub with f / 4.0 is more relevant than 2.8 without a stub. This is 100% For those who are interested, I will prove it with examples of shooting with a shutter speed of 1/2 . 1/10 sec. At 24-70 it is impossible to do this without support. I almost never use a tripod in photography. By the way, there is a myth that a 24mm stub is not needed. It is a myth. http://album. Foto. Ru/photos/pr0/146915/872320.
