I like this because the TDK surface design is crisp and simple: it's much easier to manipulate your lettering or images without too many headaches (if you're into CD labels decide). Some CDs have a colored or dark surface, which causes you trouble when carefully marking things with lots of notes. Often this dark surface design can also appear when you put a CD label on it, which is not so good. CDRW, CDR, DVD TDK I have a blank surface with a light gray line and tiny clean dots on it, FYI. When you buy blank CDs, you have to do something to label them. So far I haven't had any particular problems with pure TDK media, such as burning or data loss. However, if you don't put a lot of labels on the surface of your media then it doesn't really matter what it is other than reliability and price I think if you look at other big brands. I am trying to transfer all data from CD to DVD for fear of data loss and technology changes over time, for better or worse.
