First I tried to install the device in several different places on the dashboard. The device doesn't stick well to the dashboard and falls to the ground after a day or two, so I put it on the windshield. The suction sticks to the windshield very well and I had no trouble releasing the suction. To disable GPS, the device needs a trigger button. Once it snaps into place, it stays so tight that you can't take it off when you get out of the car. I wanted it to stay in place, but I also want to keep it out of sight when I get out of the car. The only solution is to put on sunscreen when exiting the car to block the view of the windshield-mounted device.
