Designed for use in mfg. Pickup points near the car. Our motorhome has to be picked up at the axis. So it's not safe to climb underneath as you need to be able to press the toggle switch on the device itself to raise the jack. I added a separate 5 foot lead with my own snap action polarized switch and fuse wired directly to the jack motor. Cut off the small foot and find a 3 inch U shaped foot that fits snugly onto the jack shaft. I should also mention that the base isn't large, so I carry a piece of wood with me to stabilize it as much as possible. Also Rv is at the upper weight limit and I have to start the engine to get all 12 volts in. I wouldn't start it from the cigarette lighter unless you have a fire extinguisher handy it would melt the wiring right off the dash. charging cable that can be connected directly to the battery poles. All you have to do is work off just an ounce and I got my money's worth. Hope this lasts a while. I assume I'm voiding the warranty.?
