I am currently using this product to split the signal from my PS4 for use with my PS VR headset. PSVR uses a breakout box that you connect the PS4's HDMI port to, and VR then sends that signal to the TV. However, the VR box does NOT support HDR or 4K transmission. I recently bought a new 4K TV and wanted to find a way to keep my PS4 connected to PSVR at all times and also benefit from 4K/HDR content. With this product I can split the PS4 output, send a single HDMI 4K signal to my TV and a standard HDMI 1080 signal to my VR headset which I can then send to another input on my TV, when I play a multiplayer game or want to see others. I don't know enough about 4K or HDR content to say if it makes a huge difference, but my images are sharp and beautiful, and I don't experience ZERO input lag when gaming. So it does the job as advertised!
