My wife does most of the cooking. One evening I was watching her use a 20-year old beat up Capilon—chips and cracks in the nonstick surface and warped from overheating. I’d been after her to replace it, but she is frugal, so I ordered this pan without her input, a risky buy. It arrived needing the handle to be attached, and I was not impressed that the handle is secured with only one screw, although the handle interlocks with the pan yielding a solid feeling connection. We’ve been using the pan for a few months now and my wife loves it, declaring it "life changing.” Excellent non-stick performance and even heat distribution, and it’s a big pan, perfect for a woman who always cooks more than we can eat.I marked it only 3 in versatility because the handle is plastic making it of limited use for dishes that transfer to the oven. The plastic handle and one-screw connection may prove adequate, but for now, cause me to hold back on a Five-star rating.
