I bought my own rear bumper tire holder kit. When installed, the stock rear plastic fender (98 Toyota 4Runner) was removed by default. While CA laws are a bit vague for me on trucks and SUVs, I'm always the one who gets the yellow light tickets, so I figured I'd better not tempt LEO's fate. So I bought this product and cut it to fit my new bumper. I used some leftover steel that I needed to give some structure to the top of the custom cut material. It turned out great. I've attached 3 before and after photos and how I attached the metal with nuts/bolts and Loctite.
