Review on I R I S 27165 Executive Sheetfed Scanner by Francisco Russell

The scanning software (both Readiris Corporate 16 by IRIS and Open Source NAPS2 5.8.2) could only detect the connected scanner immediately after restarting my laptop. However, shortly after that, I got the error 2019 - Cannot find scanner. I contacted IRIS technical support and they sent me an updated driver. After installation the problem got worse i.e. Even restarting didn't get the program/scanner to work (Error 2019) and turned the scanner into a useless paperweight. It's also worth mentioning here that the software that comes with this scanner (IRIS Readiris Corporate 16 and Cardiris 5.8) is incredibly bloated and slow. I am very disappointed with this product as IRIS is owned by Canon and I have great respect for Canon when it comes to the quality of their products.
