The colors are not all that vibrant. My water color pencils are much more pigmented than these are. As with all markers of this type, they do bleed through badly so make sure and put paper behind your work. I was using marker paper and they still bled as if I was using 20 pound printer paper. There is no purple and only one shade of red and orange. The cobalt blue pen pulled apart on the bullet end but I was able to put it back together . I haven't tried blending them yet. For the price I guess these are alright until I can afford to get a better set. Until then maybe I can find a single purple and a couple more shades of orange and red that I can afford.
