Like a new vacuum
Wow that is a HUGE difference indeed. Apparently my old vacuum belt stretched and started to slip. When I installed the new belt, my vacuum was much better at picking up fine dirt and dog hair. My vacuum seemed to work fine, the agitator worked, and the carpet seemed clean. As soon as I installed the new belt, I saw how poorly my vacuum cleaned. The only indication my old belt was bad was a tiny whiff of a burnt rubber smell from time to time. My advice: if you smell even a whiff of this smell, buy a new belt, you won't regret it.
