Review on Wii Zapper: Master Link's Crossbow Training with the Official Accessory by Brian Buck

Great game, terrible controller

The game itself is quite fun. It's basically a series of target and animal shooting games of increasing difficulty (at least as far as I've explored so far). If you like more cartoon shooters, this one is pretty decent. The downside, however, is the game controller mount - you plug your controller and nunchuck into it for easier shooting and maneuvering. In short, it's really terrible. To use it properly, you'll need to put your left hand behind your back to maneuver and your right hand forward and aim like a wimp who's never fired a firearm. The movement when shooting is awkward, and shooting from the move is very inaccurate. Your best bet is to try using the gamepad as a pistol (although it won't work due to the two-handed design and the front grip for shooting instead of the rear). We list the disadvantages of the gamepad: 1. The length is too small for a gun shooter.2. Incorporating a nunchaku into a gun was foolish for any shooter. Like a rifle, the position of the hands is back. Even when firing a pistol, if fired with two hands, the left hand wraps around the right, not six inches behind the right hand. You will be more successful in the game if you don't attach the nunchaku and use it in your free hand.3. Stand EXTREMELY BEHIND the TV to see the similarity between the on-screen aiming point and the point of impact. (10 feet minimum) 4. If you have a rechargeable battery pack, it will be difficult to install the Wii controller into the module. Don't try to force it or it will break. If this is your only shooter, you'll quickly tire of this controller mount. I bought another shooter, the Wii SureShot Rifle, and threw it into Shot for Wii just for fun. I prefer rifle and pistol shooting to the "crossbow" that this controller has. Once I have these devices I will edit this review and update my experience.
