With 39 inch cable. Plug and Play between my iPhone 7s and Audi. I have MMI 3rd generation. The music sounds great. Charges the phone while playing. The volume on the steering wheel and the MMI console work with it. Song titles are not displayed on the MMI screen. The only thing I really miss is pressing the "Next" button on my machine's console. Luckily I have a smartwatch and I just click next on the watch and everything works great. The best thing you can do while driving is set up playlists so you don't have to touch your phone at all. . You can practice on this new one first. Simply press the clip with your thumb and pull out the connector. It's really not difficult at all. This is very easy. A 6ft cable would be great but they don't make it, that's enough for me. If you have trouble connecting, remove the phone case once and try again. My phone case is too tight for the plug and it stops playing intermittently, but it's fine without the case.
