They are basic but very good quality and block 100% LED light. I travel a lot! LED lights are so common in hotel and guest rooms, and they're even more annoying if you're not used to them (like at home); it's not the same color, in the same place, with a different blinking pattern. I lost many nights of sleep! I turned the bowls on it, put towels on it and the light is still visible! I am ordering more of these today and will keep them in my hand luggage. I'm so relaxed I never thought I could worry so much about a little black dot of glue! LOL I will be ordering more once it is released but this time I am getting a package that is not fully blacked out just in case I want to use the remote with them. I also put one on my laptop's camera for security reasons. love this product! It came with a free gift and a personal note explaining that it was a "small family business". liked it too!
