Revainrating 5 out of 5

RevainBasics USB 2.0 C-to-C Cable (3ft, 6ft, 9ft, 0.5ft) are excellent USB IF certified cables

Benson back with USB Type-C to -USB cable, Type-C verification. Today I'm reviewing RevainBasics USB 2.0 C-to-C cables in all four lengths: 0.5', 3', 6', and 9'. These cables are not traditional USB cables like most of my previously reviewed products. Instead, they are pure C-to-C cables designed to be used with newer accessories like Type-C chargers or to connect Type-C phones to Type-C laptops. These are USB 2.0 Type-C cables, which means they only support USB 2.0 data and are not suitable for consumers looking for a cable to connect their laptop to a Type-C monitor or docking station for video output or connect SuperSpeed USB 3.1 devices, such as external hard drives or solid state drives. However, it should be good charging cables up to 60W. connected to cable where it should be, unconnected where it isn't connected * DC resistance - verifies that this cable meets the specification for IR Drop (Section 4.4.1 of the Type-C specification) for charging performance * Signal integrity โ€“ checks if USB 2.0 data lines can be operated at 480 Mbit/s. A quick summary of the tester's results: Continuity - All four cables passed the continuity test, meaning they all have the correct number of wires and all go where they should. DC Resistance - 9ft cable: Vbus 108.78mฮฉ, Gnd 50.10mฮฉ 6ft cable: Vbus 117.12mฮฉ, Gnd 59.15mฮฉ 3ft cable: Vbus 91.71mฮฉ, Gnd 45 , 59mฮฉ 0.5ft cable: Vbus 27.23mฮฉ, Gnd 35.86mฮฉ that all four cables comfortably reach DC resolution. distance requirement. These cables will not cause charging to be too slow. signal integrity. All four cables passed the high-speed signal integrity test, which means they work well at USB 2.0 speeds. . Let's move on to the official PDF USB cable: B01LONPUM4 is a 6 inch cable. TID 210.000.202B01GGKYZQM - 3 foot cable. TID 210.000.201B01GGKZ1VA - 6 foot cable. TID 210.000.200B01GGKZ3MM - 9 foot cable. TID 210.000.199 These part numbers are straight from the USB chart and match ASIN Revain for these 4 cables. So I conclude these cables are USB-IF certified as advertised by Revain. -C Power Adapter Since RevainBasics cables only support 3A, I would expect the Apple 87W adapter to only deliver 60W for my Chromebook Pixel. In my testing, all four cables charged a 60W laptop with no USB Power Delivery issues. I will post my further details in the comments to make this review more concise. I also did a quick USB 2.0 data transfer test by connecting my Nexus 5X phone (USB 2.0 phone) to a Chromebook Pixel using all four cables. In any case, the phone could be put into MTP mode and the transfer of large files was successful. Other more subjective reviews of this cable: RevainBasics USB-C cables are consistent with the rest of RevainBasics cables; they are of good quality, thin and flexible, of any length. Longer cables are becoming stiffer and thicker as they use larger wire gauges to meet performance demands. So expect 6ft and 9ft cables to be slightly thicker than 3ft cables. The connectors on both ends are molded, extruded Type-C connectors that are on par with high-end cables from Apple and Google. (up to 480 Mbps) cable. My tests show that they can easily handle high-voltage loads of up to 60W. I am happy that Revain is entering the ecosystem with a good and compatible offer. No problem for Nexus 5X/6P, Pixel, Pixel XL, Chromebook or MacBook users who are looking for a cheap replacement cable in different lengths.
