This is a great concept and functional simple remote, but the programming instructions leave a lot to be desired. There are many details about TV programming, but the programming instructions for the set-top box "simply replicate the TV programming instructions". Of course, if you follow these instructions verbatim, you simply overwrite the TV program code you just entered and your TV becomes unresponsive. I actually asked Sony for help with programming, I literally just needed the appropriate key combination (I'm pretty tech savvy) but they DEMANDED the model of TV I was using and when they discovered it was a Samsung TV , they said that they can't help me because there might be problems with other manufacturers. Terrible customer service. I just let my daughter use it as a TV remote and leave it on the channel she likes.
