Review on 🌊 Quick Dam QD617-1 Flood Barriers: Ultimate Protection in Black - 1 Pack by Will Jenkins

I bought (3) this plus other sizes of Quick Dam before rainy weather to keep my home dry to protect against possible water damage. We live in an area next to a river which is unfortunately flooded (this was not announced before buying the house and once when we were staying here the air duct system under the house broke down). Last time we had 6 inches of water in our garage seeping onto our backyard. This led to mold problems and other repairs. To avoid these problems this year and not having to have sandbags on hand, I bought this product. This product is ideal for keeping water out of a two car garage or for installing a barrier along a sidewalk. It is not very high, but effective as long as the water level is below the top of the flood defenses. --------------------- What I like about this product: 1. Very easy to set up and use. Anyone of any age can easily use this product. * If it rains when installed, it will take a few minutes for the moisture to activate the gel in the flood barrier. 2. Can be moved quicker than filled sandbags (with two) if needed 3. Reusable and can be stored once dry. 4. Sturdy, quality construction. 5. Multiple sizes available for different applications. Perfect 2 car garage driveway securing. 7 .Flood barriers can be stacked if needed.8.You can run over the barrier and it will return to its original shape.**Only if it is not fully saturated with water, in which case you will most likely blow it up under pressure.** *- -------------------- -- What I wish was better 1. This item may take months to dry if you have had variable wet weather or are in a place where the humidity stays high.2.It's a bit pricey, but if you buy before the rainy season you'll get a decent discount.The item is about 3-4 inches tall when fully extended a G Wow, this prevents the product from drying effectively. 4. If they're completely soaked, you can't run them over without tearing them and spilling the slime inside. Difficult to clean and renders the item unusable. The material used could be a bit stiffer. ---------------------- I am very satisfied with this product as it solved my problem quickly and efficiently Replace floods, but for driving away heavy rain or protecting doorways and the like I think it's great. ------------------ --------------------------------- ---UPDATE: 10/2/16 I had to get rid of this item after one season, but I stumbled upon it (came out of the garage) and left it in place for at least three months, so that should be expected. Eventually (in heavy rain and being pulled over when it was completely soaked), it burst and the bullets, which turned into large balls when wet, spilled onto the pavement. It wasn't difficult to clean when dry but a headache when wet! I wish the company would make them out of a stronger material, but if I hadn't met him, that probably wouldn't have happened. not hacked. I still love the product. Much easier for me to use than sandbags (which we also have). It wouldn't be ideal for a major flood, but it can keep about 3-4 inches of standing water from getting into my garage, which is what I was hoping for when I bought this item.
