I use this place for bathing pet reptiles. It's much more durable than traditional spot heat lights, gets very hot - it's convenient to use, as is a screen heat light (never use indoors), and since it burns incandescent it's a lot safer on your scaly friends' eyes. as halogen or mercury vapor. It is also very bright, can be used as a work lamp and resists movement. Perfect!
