I've had Pacan120ew for 5 days so far. I live in Miami so it's the 80's right now and it will probably be the 90's by the middle of summer. The room I'm trying to cool is a combined living and dining area, but I already have a 12,000 BTU wall-mounted unit that easily cools half the room down to 76 degrees. So I figured a 12,000 BTU handheld would be enough to get the job done. The living area is about 300 square meters. The ceiling is a bit high. In terms of sound, I measured noises between 50dB and 52dB while standing about 2 feet from the device. It mainly depends on the fan speed. That's slightly better than the Honeywell 10k BTU I have in one of the bedrooms. The size and portability are good, it comes boxed and comes with the same tube as Honeywell. Cooling is not enough. I'm not sure if it's due to the direction of the air from the fan (not adjustable) or just that the compressor isn't that powerful. I haven't had any water leakage issues like some people. I can see the dehumidifier is working well when I measured the room and the humidity went from 60% to 54%. Bottom line: For the price, I think a 14K BTU device from another brand would have performed better.
