I have several brands of LED strips, this brand is by far the best. Although they cost a little more than other light bars, the quality is on another level, it's like comparing a bike to a motorcycle. The lights can glow in multiple colors on the same strip, allowing waves of light instead of just flashing from one color to another. The app includes many preset modes as well as an easy-to-use DIY mode maker. My 10 year old creates amazing light structures all the time. I read a few reviews that suggested not upgrading the light. I disagree, after the updates I've noticed the lights are much brighter and run smoothly. Also, the flashlights are updated regularly (every month or so), like any update, some may be better than others, but it's usually best to keep up with the latest software. I've now updated twice as many music modes once ** We originally bought these for Christmas but I'm having too much fun with them to take them off. Now we're the crazy house with lights for every holiday and the occasional impromptu dance party.
