For those of you who want to buy this microphone for recording, it is NOT designed for that. This is a measurement microphone used to analyze the acoustic environment. Will this mic and an inexpensive free mobile app yield the same results as a thousand dollar Earthworks measurement mic and a Smaart laptop based setup? No of course not. But for $22, it does a very respectable job. For less than $50 you get this mic and a copy of AudioTools and you have a very efficient way to do all your basic analysis tasks. This is an easy buy for anyone looking for a very portable sound analysis setup.
